The Finance Department is engaged in award-winning research and teaching on financial markets and institutions, as well as the financial decisions of firms, individuals, and governments.

The faculty is renowned for their theoretical and empirical work in a broad range of specialties, including asset pricing, corporate finance, capital market dynamics, household finance, macroeconomics, and econometrics. By declaring a Finance major, students build a strong base in these principles of finance to help launch successful careers.
